Meet L. Michael Breeze
Born and raised in Kentucky, L. Michael Breeze is an award-winning actor and master storyteller whose performance career spans more than four decades. He holds a master’s degree in Communications/Theatre and has directed and acted in more than 100 theatrical productions, written full-length plays and created television programs.
Breeze brings a wide range of characters, voices and stories to libraries, schools and community audiences. His acclaimed one-man reading of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol has become a long-running tradition, now celebrating 25 years.
Ghost stories and Gothic tales
Breeze’s repertoire includes Ghost Stories & Gothic Tales, a theatrical program that pairs Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven” with chilling passages from Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Expect expressive character voices, sharp timing and the vivid atmosphere of live storytelling.
The Parsonage’s hand-hewn logs and intimate rooms make a natural gathering place for an October evening of tales. This performance is part of the Old Parsonage’s July–December 2026 Celebrate America 250 program, presented with Kentucky Humanities Chautauqua.
